Fertility & Infertility

Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years. It was first used to treat women’s health issues. Written texts have described how herbs can help treat fertility. Today, traditional East Asian doctors are incorporating modern fertility treatment into their practice.

Postpartum Care

It is important that the new mothers are well-fed and supported during the first six months after birth. Traditional Chinese Medicine can offer support that our culture currently does not, by nourishing the mother and child in order to reach optimal health.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy, the development of the baby is influenced by the mother's health. Traditional Chinese Medicine nourishes and prepares a mother's body for the birth of her child. Acupuncture and other treatments can also alleviate unwanted side effects of pregnancy, such as nausea, low back pain, and fatigue.

PMS

Premenstrual syndrome is a condition that occurs when the levels of estrogen and progesterone in a woman's body are imbalanced prior to her period. Traditional Chinese medicine can balance these hormones and ease the symptoms the PMS.

Postpartum Depression

Most of the time, neck pain or stiffness is caused by poor posture or overuse. It can also be caused by a fall or a contact sports injury. The pain can vary in intensity and may feel achy or like an electric shock from the neck to the arm. Acupuncture and other modalities can help relieve this pain.

Menopause

Menopause, a natural part of aging, typically appears 12 months after your last period. During this time, the ovaries start to empty, and the body begins to produce more hormones. Unfortunately, this produces uncomfortable side effects that can be alleviated with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

High FHS Levels

Traditional Chinese Medicine has been shown to lower FHS levels in patients with elevated levels. Acupuncture and other treatments achieve this by increasing blood flow to the uterus. Lower FHS levels improve conception chances both naturally and during infertility treatments.
